Sebastian Strasser is an internationally recognised director with a background in media arts, whose work is defined by a highly cinematic approach and a strong visual language that combines craft-led storytelling with deep human insight.
Strasser’s body of work spans high-profile global campaigns for leading brands including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Volkswagen, Audi, Renault, Vodafone, Hornbach, and Adidas. Across more than 250 international awards including over 20 Cannes Lions his films have consistently demonstrated the power of bold visual concepts in service of brand storytelling. He has also been ranked among the Gunn Report’s Most Awarded Commercial Directors.
Alongside his commercial work, Strasser has increasingly explored the creative potential of emerging technologies, including AI a curiosity that continues to shape his approach as a filmmaker. Most recently, he directed the acclaimed film for The RealReal, a fully AI-generated work that leans playfully into the medium while maintaining a strong creative point of view. His perspective has always been that technology is most powerful when used in service of ideas, rather than as an end in itself.
Strasser is also the founder of LIPSTICK, a Berlin-based production company and AI studio.
